Ishtana
Ishtana fell in love with dance as a child and gained a solid foundation in ballet before branching out into bellydance, flamenco, modern dance, jazz, African and classical Indian styles. She is currently focused on both modern styles of Oriental dance and traditional folkloric styles as well as tribal trance dances such as the Guedra. Her love of dance and music in all its myriad forms has led her to seek out master instructors in the U.S.A., Canada and England. She has trained with Suzanna Del Vecchio, Eva Cernik, Delilah, Dalia Carella, Elena Lentini, Nadia Moussa, Aziza, Fereshteh, Carolina Nericcio, Bhavani Lee and Nathalie, among others.
Ishtana's classes focus mainly on technique and choreography of American cabaret style bellydance. She firmly believes dance and music to be a perfect expression for spiritual growth and transformation and encourages students to find and appreciate their individual beauty and feminine power.
Ishtana teaches and performs regularly at various venues throughout south Florida. She holds a B.A. in fine arts from the University of Wyoming and is a certified yoga instructor with extensive training and teaching experience.
